I am relieved to find that there IS indeed a "flood" of PUBLIC-sector disaster relief in progress and being staged, although it is not nearly enough to meet the disaster area's very grave and critical needs. "Our" federal govt is demonstrating the perplexing and deplorable performance it has for the last 5 years. If a person can't take material relief supplies into the disaster area or provide same to someone else going there; Then virtually all respected and reliable organizations are advising that $$$ monetary donations are currently the most effective / efficient form of absentee help. People desiring to make MATERIAL donations and do volunteer work, ...but can't go to the disaster area, ...should therefore contact agencies and volunteer organizations IN THEIR OWN LOCAL AREA, because organizations outside the disaster area are staging their resources to be called upon and more-efficiently coordinated by relief agencies on the scene at the disaster. I am relieved to find that there IS indeed a "flood" of PUBLIC-sector disaster relief in progress and being staged, although it is not nearly enough to meet the disaster area's very grave and critical needs. "Our" federal govt is demonstrating the perplexing and deplorable performance it has for the last 5 years. If a person can't take material relief supplies into the disaster area or provide same to someone else going there; Then virtually all respected and reliable organizations are advising that $$$ monetary donations are currently the most effective / efficient form of absentee help. People desiring to make MATERIAL donations and do volunteer work, ...but can't go to the disaster area, ...should therefore contact agencies and volunteer organizations IN THEIR OWN LOCAL AREA, because organizations outside the disaster area are staging their resources to be called upon and more-efficiently coordinated by relief agencies on the scene at the disaster. Many people are rightfully getting quite upset with deplorable Federal magangement severely holding up relief; Which is resulting in growing, responsible, private "covert" ops to get fuller relief into the area. Make sure any organization you desire to help is indeed getting help to the outlying areas of the disaster. Whether we call it the Shadow Government, or the MIC empire, or the New Amairka empire, or the Fourth Reich, (which all describe the syndicates that form what each of those common names describe), could very well be having each department function to the MIC's liking / agenda and no-one else could see the big picture. This website is no longer active and updated, BUT PLEASE NOTICE: Even though the Gulf Coast is no longer under the massive and immediate life-and-death emergency that existed for weeks after Hurricane Katrina, that this website & web-net was constructed to assist; I will leave this website up so that anyone who might stumble across it while still looking for disaster-related relief help on the Gulf Coast, will have some links to key agencies and resources. Also, anyone that might be looking for info for sending help to the Gulf Coast (which is still needed in many areas) can find some internet portals here to assist in that effort. My deepest Respect and Thank You to the countless people who answered the call to assist in getting massive disaster relief to the Gulf Coast.
